Ron Milenko brings over 30 years experience in physical education and tennis instruction.  His strengths include the ability to develop competitive and recreational tennis programs for adults and youth, and his dedication to promoting success and growth of all students.  He is personable, friendly, and able to relate well with students of all levels of ability, and possesses strong communication skills.  For over 20 years, Ron has taught physical education and health at Ridgeview Middle School in Gaithersburg, MD.  For the past 14 years he has spent summers running the tennis program in a 500-plus home residential/resort community as the head tennis professional at Bethany West, Bethany Beach, DE.  Specifically he teaches daily clinics for children and adults, conducts adult drills and tournaments, runs adult round robins, teaches private lessons, oversees the maintenance of the courts and promotes the program. In addition, in 2002, 2007, 2008 Ron was a visiting tennis professional at Couples Resorts, Negril and Swept Away in Jamaica.  He ran daily clinics for advanced, intermediate and beginning players.  He also conducted daily round robins.  From 1984 to 2001, Ron coached varsity tennis at Churchill High School in Potomac, MD.  He was awarded the Metropolitan Tennis Coach of the Year in 1993, 1996 and 1999 by The Washington Post. Ron received his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock State College and did Graduate Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He has been a Certified Tennis Professional since 1976, with a Professional Rating, through the United States Professional Tennis Registry.
