Amanda Huffman

In 2002 I weighed 185lbs. and was at best a size 16.  I was larthargic and unhappy so I just went to the gym.  I didn't know what to do and it didn't matter, at that point to me, something was better than nothing.  So I went every morning at 6am for two months and saw little change.  I began to talking to some exercise physiologist and that's where my love for weight training began. 

After incorporating proper weight training into my routine I saw drastic and immediate results.  I also realized that I was not the only women misinformed about exercise.  So I started talking to anyone who would listen to my story and soon found a workout partner.  She too made major changes in her lifestyle and workout routine. 

The only logical thing for me to do next was to start eating better!  If I could make improvements just by exercising, then imagine if I changed my eating habits!  So I did and before I realized it (a year later) I was a muscular size 10 and weighed 155lbs. 

My passion for fitness and for sharing what I learn has continued to grow as I teach group exercise classes and train as many people as my time allows.  Since becoming a new Mom of a six month old boy and moving back to my home town, my time has become limited so I teach more group fitness classes and only train close family members and friends on a flexible schedule.
