Greta Anderson has been fitness- and health-oriented since childhood. She started taking group fitness classes in high school and has been hooked ever since! In high school she was a tennis player and a runner and in college Greta continued running and competed in her school's triathlon. Her love of choreography and teaching is evident through her experiences choreographing for color guard in high school and for the Ebony II Dance Ensemble at
Since then, Greta served for eight years and went on two overseas deployments with the US Army as a health care specialist (medic). During her four years as a non-commissioned officer in the Army, Greta developed her leadership skills and consistently surpassed the Army's physical fitness standards. She competed in numerous amateur road races from 5Ks up to 20 miles. She also implemented group workouts including cardio and boot camp components for lower enlisted soldiers. She helped other soldiers reach their fitness goals by providing them with training and encouragement. While on her deployment to
Greta now continues to live a healthy, active lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, running, playing tennis and attending/ teaching group fitness classes. This year, Greta is team captain for a Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk team. She is an extremely goal-oriented, personable, fun and active person who loves motivating other people to achieve their fitness goals. A group fitness class with Greta is sure to be both challenging and fun!
