Kristina Courage

  1. In my youth I participated and excelled in swimming and cross country, not wanting to lose that strong connection with physical training and fitness I found a position as an assistant swim coach at my local YMCA. It was at the YMCA were I discovered the career of personal training. In late 2007 I attended a 6 month training school for personal training and after graduating I moved to the Boston area to pursue a place in the industry.

In 2008 got my Group Exercise Instructor Certification with SCW. I started personal training in Sept. 2009 and have been mentored by some excellent personal trainers in the field. I taught group exercise classes at Harvard's Hemenway gym which serves over 30,000 members.

I enjoy the pursuit and challenge of physical fitness in partnership with others and I continue to develop as a fitness professional. My Group Exercise specialties include Cardio kickboxing, Bootcamp, Circuit/Interval training, Balletone:Standing Flow, Rebounding (on fitness trampolines) and Punk Rope.

In 2012, I transitioned to full-time personal trainer at the Cambridge YMCA and was soon promoted to Aerobics Department Manager to assist the Fitness Director.

I have certificates in Punk Rope, Schwinn cycling, Balletone: Standing Flow, and SCW Kettlebells Certification.

My goal as a Personal Trainier is to look at the whole person and help them reach their fitness goals. I strive to educate and intergrate all compentents of health and wellness for a long, happy life for my client.
