When i first decided to become a personal trainer, I was a bartender working my way through college. When I became sick of the long hours and wanted to feel like I was a positive influence in peoples lives,I knew that it was time for a change. I had been working out at the local gym for about a year. The head trainer of the gym approached me and asked if I would be interested in a job as a personal trainer. I had really never thought about it, but knew that I could make a positive influence in peoples lives. About six months later I began working out at Gold's Gym in Woodstock Ga. I approached the fitness director to find out what i needed to do to become a personal trainer. The club I was wanting to work at only accepted a couple certifications, one of which was AFAA. I then got certified and have been training ever sence. I think the best thing about my job is knowing that I have the ability to give a person new found conifidence.I also tend to get bored easily, therefore getting to meet new people keeps it interesting. I am also a very positive person which tends to rub off on those clients who never dreamed they could ever reach a potential goal. This in turn gives me a sence of empowerment, knowing that I have helped to make a difference in peoples lives that will last a lifetime.
