I discovered yoga in 2003 and felt an unexpected sense of ease. I continued with meditation and went to yoga classes whenever I could for the next few years.
I attended George Brown College in Toronto about a year later to study Fitness and Lifestyle Management. After earning my diploma and starting to teach yoga at the college, I decided to deepen my yoga studies with a Classical Hatha Yoga teacher training in 2005. I have since been continuing my studies through workshops and other trainings in many different styles and have adopted a daily practice. In my classes, I like to focus on breathing, alignment and philosophy in an exploratory manner as well as seeing how things that are learned on the mat can be transferred to life off the mat. As a teacher I like to offer choices and inquiries as opposed to rules and definitives. I am currently completing training through Silver Age Yoga and an Advanced Yoga and Ayurveda course through David Frawley.
I discovered Thai Yoga massage through the Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage at a yoga conference in 2007 where I did a brief training and began adding it to my partner yoga classes. I have completed level 1 and level 2 with Lotus Palm.
I have also done training at circus schools in Toronto and Vermont.
