I have participated in individual and group fitness activities for most of my life. I played team sports as a high school student, became a runner during my college years, and got interested in group fitness classes as an adult. Over the years I've enjoyed Step and Hi-Lo aerobics, body sculpting, yoga, pilates, and indoor/outdoor cycling. Upon relocating to rural Oklahoma from Tampa, Florida in 2004, I decided to pursue Yoga Teacher certification.
I began the first ever yoga class in Pauls Valley in October 2004 and due to popular demand, expanded to twice weekly a year later. I still have my passion for running, regularly competing in 5K/10K/Half-marathon distances. I've also had the pleasure of mentoring three women (ages 31, 38 and 42) to compete in their first 5K & 10K races.
I am deeply fond of my "adopted" hometown and am involved in a number of community activities. As a member of the Pauls Valley Arts Council's theater company, I have been cast in three productions, most recently as "Ouiser" in "Steel Magnolias". I also serve as Club Coordinator for the Valley Velo Bicycle Club and am a member of the Vally Rally Bike Tour Event Board.
My husband and I married in November 2005 and have two adult children (from his previous marriage) and two grandchildren. I am employed as the Business Manager in his Optometry practice.
