As a passionate yogini, I am dedicated to the spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional elements of yoga. I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and love the balance, joy, strength, health, and lightness of being that it brings into my life. I am committed to sharing that joy and the many benefits of yoga with others through my teaching practice. I am trained to teach ashtanga, yin and hatha yoga, and I bring a fun and heart-centred approach to my teaching.
I am also a former certified fitness instructor and taught a diversity of fitness classes for 8 years. Although I have decided to teach yoga exclusively, I have a strong background in anatomy, body dynamics, body types, connecting with people, injury prevention, clear instruction, movement to music, cueing and sequencing that benefit my yoga teaching.
The philosophy of my teaching and practice is to find the fine balance between reaching your edge and relaxation. My goal is to help students find their breath and their joy in their yoga practice. If students find their breath and joy in their practice, then they will be able to bring a deeper breath and joy into their daily lives. Namaste!
