My passion is fitness and a healthy, fun lifestyle. At the age of 4 I taught myself to swim, began ballet classes and took up horseback riding. Although I lived on the East Coast and went to school at New York University, I continued my pursuits. Moving to California at age 25 allowed me to add hiking and bicycling to the mix. While pursuing a full-time career as a Real Estate Broker, I began training for and competing in local Olympic distance triathlons. As a complement, I took up yoga - and fell in love! I am a confirmed yogaholic and fitness enthusiast. Backpacking grew out of my love of hiking and the outdoors. When I moved to Oregon to manage my investments in 2004, I was immediately hired by the Courthouse Athletic Clubs (5 locations) in Salem to teach yoga classes, train the fitness trainers in yoga techniques and train the Fitness Director. During the course of several injuries I was introduced to Pilates (floor and reformer) as therapy.
My love of outdoors took me to Kaua'i in 2005. I decided to hang up my real estate license and become a Certified Fitness Trainer. I have since added the specialty of Endurance Fitness Trainer based on my love of, and background in multi-sport activities. Living in Hawai'i has introduced me to surfing and windsurfing and this past season in VietNam I spent three months learning to kitesurf. My boyfriend, Steve, is a 10-year kitesurfing instructor, former windsurfing instructor and former tennis instructor. We love to travel and share our enthsiasm and healthy lifestyle.
