I have been in the fitness field for the past 8 years. I attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro and majored in Exercise and Sport Science. I began my career then as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Also in college I began running marathons and competing in triathlons. After graduation I moved to Gainesville, Florida to attend graduate school at the University of Florida in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. I accepted a position as a trainer and instructor at Gainesville Health and Fitness Center and have moved up to manager and the head of our departmental Education Team after completing a 4 month internship with JC Santana at the Institute of Human Performance. Currently I teach 6-10 classes per week and train one-on-one clients as well as small groups. I also coach distance running and triathlons. I'm always searching for new ways to expand my knowledge and teaching/coaching experience. I love to travel, I love to coach, I love to educate, and I love to do anything fitness related! Nothing is off limits!
