Laurie Di Giulio

Laurie began her career in natural health in 1997 with study in iridology, herbs & nutrition. In 1998 she became a certified reflexologist with the Reflexology Association of Canada. In 2000, she successfully completed provincial exams with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and practices as a Registered Massage Therapist in Brampton, Ontario. Her continuing education studies have included Reiki level I, Ear candling, Hot Stone Massage, Learning Methods/Alexander technique, Introduction to Cranio-sacral & Osteopathy principles, and introductory courses in touch for health. She completed her Yoga teacher training with Michelle Cormack (5 Elements Yoga & Pilates) and is an approved teacher, by the Yoga Alliance, instructing yoga teacher trainees in anatomy and physiology. Since 2003 Laurie has been educating massage students, and recently yoga teacher trainees. She has acted as Program Coordinator and Senior Instructor at two Massage Therapy Colleges in Toronto, and instructed at another campus in Mississauga. During this time, Laurie created curriculum in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Neuroanatomy, Remedial Exercise, Anatomy Palpation, Clinical Assessment, Advanced Techniques, Research Literacy, and Pharmacology courses. As well, Laurie was responsible for developing Massage Therapy curriculum and examinations for Corinthian Colleges to be used as the standard provincial curriculum. Laurie has had extensive experience in treating and instructing students in a variety of different capacities. She has conducted many workshops on a variety of topics relating to health and disease prevention. Laurie continually practices her skills and is involved in ongoing education so as to ensure she delivers the most current information to her clients and students.  In 2005, Laurie opened The Well Being, a multidisciplinary holistic care clinic providing a variety of options for the prevention, treatment, and awareness of health and disease. Today she manages a successful practice, teaches yoga, instructs massage therapy students, and has developed and delivered anatomy/physiology curriculum for yoga teacher trainees.

Laurie specializes in human anatomy and physiology workshops where she draws the link between science and the practice of yoga, competition in sports, and the promotion of health.
