Wendy Helton

Wendy Helton was exposed to Pilates as a High School age dance student looking for ways to improve her conditioning and reduce her chance of injury.  She fell in love with it and continued her Pilates practice while at North Carolina School of the Arts where they had a fully equipped Pilates studio.  She then received her Certification from Core Dynamics Pilates under the tutellage of Michele Larsson in November of 2002 after a full year of concentrated course work. 

Since then she has devoted her life to helping people improve their body awareness, posture, strength, and mobility through the wonderful work of Joseph Pilates.  She opened her own business with the help of partner Susie Pines in 2006.  Their studio is called Swan Dive Center for Pilates and is located in Northbrook, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
