I have been a Fitness Enthusiast all my life, spending a lot of time in dance and aerobics studios and gyms. (So much so that I married a Personal Trainer!) After succumbing to a knee injury and staying home to raise two children, I began the long process to return to the gym and my tip-top form.
Yoga was the perfect venue to rehab the knee and de-stress from life with toddlers. While on the yoga journey, I felt called to teach and became certified in 2008 through Yoga Fit. Recognizing that I needed to add a cardiovascular element to the yoga workout and still craved an opportunity to dance, I embraced the fitness phenomenon of Zumba. The Zumba tagline of "Ditch the Workout, Join the Party!" certainly applies to me! I currently teach at least 7 classes in these two formats per week. I also substitute teach these classes as well as Senior Fitness, PiYo, Pilates Fusion (ballet) and Floor, Core & More.
One of my greatest joys is travelling; I have been to many resorts throughout Mexico, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Aruba and Disney World. I look forward to combining my love of fitness with that of travelling through opportunities with FitnessProTravel!
