May 2009 I graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business specializing in Professional Tennis Management/Resort Management, as well as receiving a USPTA P2 certification. My enthusiasm and energy are surpassed by only one thing, my love for tennis. I have been teaching tennis for almost nine years, and playing for seventeen. For the past two summers I have worked as the Assistant Director of Tennis at Cress Creek Country Club, in Naperville, Illinois.
Last summer I routinely spent ten or more hours on-court a day, sixteen on Wednesdays. Duties included working a minimum of twenty weekly pro shop hours, spending additional time accommodating night play, socializing with members, generating private lessons, stringing racquets, email correspondence and performing clay court maintenance. Many nights I did not leave the courts until midnight, sometimes later. On numerous occasions I acted as Interim Tennis Director for extended periods of time. Six weeks into my first summer I was put in charge of our entire tennis operation for nearly a month.
I love working with juniors, and my intimate knowledge of the game lets me teach virtually any level player using methods that include QuickStart and video analyses, I have great communication skills and identify well with both kids and adults. With an endless amount of energy and a powerfully motivated attitude, I feel I would be a major asset to your tennis program. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
