I started coaching squash in 2005 at my local club, Bridge of Allan Sports Club where at the time it was mainly for the enjoyment and to try and allow the children to have as much fun as possible. During a gap year taken after I left school, I gained experience from travelling to South Africa and coaching in two of the top schools in the country, which was an enjoyable and extremely rewarding experience. Here, I gained exposure to running tournaments and administration as well as coaching all ages ranging from juniors right through to older adults at the local clubs.
After I left South Africa to come back to Scotland, I came to Edinburgh University where I have been studying Medicine for the past two years. I am still involved in coaching at Bridge of Allan Sports Club during holidays and I have been coaching the University squad for the past year, seeing them regain the top University spot in Scotland as well as move up the British rankings.
