I started teaching group fitness in 1996 after deciding to leave my corporate job to be a stay-at-home mom. I found myself very bored with more energy than I knew what to do with sitting at home and therefore decided to teach. I was already taking 8-10 classes a week anyway.
I quickly became the group fitness coordinator and eventually moved into a club manager. That was a bit too many hours for me, so I started event directing and of course continued teaching. I also became a certified personal trainer and began training in 1997. I have one client that I still train to this day, so about 12 years.
