I’ve been working in the fitness industry since 2006. A few years after I enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces, I began teaching on Basic Training and led their daily fitness programming alongside their regular army training. I enjoyed it so much that I changed studies from Music to Fitness and Health promotion. I worked as a wellness coordinator in a large insurance company, overseeing their fitness program and teaching other instructors how to conduct classes.
From there, I opened my own studio in 2011, where I taught every class. I now manage the programming at our 3 locations, where we run more than 300 group fitness and personal training sessions per week, and run a robust children’s fitness program.
My approach to fitness is to enthusiastically meet people where they are at, and encourage them to build life-long habits.
Now that my business is well-established with a team of 30 fitness professionals, I am able to spend a portion of my time as a military and freelance musician in a variety of ensembles, teach fitness classes, and travel!
