Marcy Schlissel, Director (Pilates/GYROTONIC®) graduated from the renowned Pilates Center in Boulder Colorado in 1999 and has taught Pilates in Maryland, Washington DC, and NYC. She spent four years as an instructor for the Articulate Eye teacher training program in Rockville Maryland. Marcy holds the GYROTONIC® foundation Level 1 Certification, as well a Yoga certification from the Universal Force Yoga Center in NYC. Her continuing education courses include Pre-Natal Pilates, Pelvic Floor, Anatomy, and Yoga for Dancers.

Marcy received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Maryland where she attended as a Creative and Performing Arts Scholar and a MD Distinguished Scholar. She continues to perform and choreograph in traditional and unorthodox spaces. Her focused movement studies in modern dance, improvisation, Alexander, Laban/Bartenieff, & Yoga enhance her teaching methodology.

Marcy works with clients of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels. She designs creative sessions, where her eye for detail encourages her clients to investigate their bodies’ potential in and outside of the studio. Her sessions are challenging yet supportive and fun.
