Amy’s expertise lies in the personal, consistent relationship she develops with clients; she approaches each individual with a unique perspective, tailoring personal nutrition plans, as well as massage sessions, to meet their needs and goals. Her holistic approach to nutrition incorporates gradual lifestyle and behavior changes to help clients create healthier, happier, and lifelong relationships with whole foods and physical activity. Clients often find that there are a variety of areas where Amy can play a role, from meal planning and grocery shopping, to holiday eating and dining out strategies. Amy’s strengths include nutrition counseling for weight management, food sensitivities, sports nutrition, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Over the years, Amy has supplemented her study of nutrition by working with chiropractors, massage therapists, lactation consultants and primary care physicians in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings, including Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Canyon Ranch Health Resort and Spa in Tucson, and in various private practices nationwide. She has presented at the Massachusetts Eating Disorders Association conference at Brandeis University, and has developed nutrition curricula for the peer education program at Simmons College in Boston.

Born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amy studied at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City, and at Simmons College in Boston, earning Summa Cum Laude Honors and a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her Dietetic Internship at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, earning her Registered Dietitian degree. She now resides in Santa Barbara, California where she owns her private nutrition consulting practice, Isabella Massage and Nutrition Services, located in Montecito, CA. Having practiced massage for 10 years, Amy became a Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist in May 2007, through the Kali Institute for Massage and Somatic Therapies in Ventura, California.
