Rachel Blattner is recognized as "the most innovative Fitness trainers in the Western Carolina region", WNC Health Magazine, July 09 issue. Her approach to exercise is balance, by creating an individualized exercise routine for each of her client's. She has over five years of experience in Health & Fitness, ranging from; instructing group exercise classes, presenting at leadership conferences, educational seminars and recently her established business as a Fitness professional, coaching Women.
Rachel serves special populations and is involved with the Diabetes & Wellness program at the YWCA. Her education ranges from prerequisites in the medical field, Nutrition and exercise physiology. She currnetly holds certifications in aerobic instruction, personal training, CPR, first aid and Latin cardio dance. Her knowledge stems from personal experience and self-discipline she dealt with in her own life's struggles with weight loss. She is a raw food activist and vegetarian. Her hobbies include cycling, tri-athlete, and Latin dance instruction.
She represents local organizations by holding a position as a board member on the Physical Activity and Nutrition Coalition in Buncombe County and Creative Communications, Youth and Family Services, a non-profit for Pregnancy support in Arden, NC.
Her numerous roles include; Body and Soul health educator, where she works alongside ABIPA, Inc, an organization that seeks to address health disparities and churches to educate health within the community. Rachel is a member of the Asheville Fitness Professionals. She is an attendee of MTN. Biz Works Women's Business Conference. She is a member of IDEA Health & Fitness Association. On the side, she is a freelance writer for Health & Women's Magazines in Western Carolina; she writes topics such as;”How to shop Healthy & Smart” and “It’s easy to obtain an active lifestyle”.
Her mission is to serve her God and continue educating the community toward obtaining optimal Health.
