Karl Sommer

 Karl Sommer is the Director of Tennis at SPORTIME at Syosset. He supervises a staff of over 30 professionals at an 11 court facility and boasts an enrollment of over 2,500 junior students each year. Karl uses his unique ability to build a player’s tennis game on a foundation of technique, enjoyment, and sportsmanship. He holds a B.S. degree in Physical Education and Health for grades K-12. In 1998, he was selected USPTA and USTA - Teaching Professional of the Year. Karl’s teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of a student’s feeling of accomplishment and personal gratification.
