Experience
Martha Fitness- St Louis, Mo 2006-2008
Designed and choreographed low impact aerobics and strength class for seniors. Class was 1 hour in length and I was responsible to provide 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength using free weights. Trained a group of 20-30 at a time.
Anheuser Busch and Centene corporation St. Louis, MO 2006 to present
Designed step aerobic routine including strength in intervals. My responsibility is to provide a cardio workout with strength during their lunch hour. Class was 45 minutes in length. Strength portion included using free weights, resistance tubes, stability balls and bosu trainers. On some days I taught hatha yoga which was designed for strength and flexibility. Trained in groups of 6-20 participants. Centene is currently under reconstruction so I am not currently instructing there.
Forest Park Community College St. Louis, MO 2007 to present
Responsible for introduction to hatha yoga in an 8 week credit course for beginners. I plan out 8 week curriculum which includes handouts, weekly intro to new poses, one on one instruction, quiz, book review, lecture and a test. Its my responsibility to ensure the student have a nice base of hatha yoga when course is over. My classes have any where from 8-18 students. I meet with them twice a week for 1.5 hours.
Ellipse Fitness Oakville, MO August 2008 to October 2009
A franchise out of Appleton, WI. I helped open and launch the first out of state location. My responsibilities included staff hiring and training. Ordering equipment, music, signage, banking,promotions, pro shop and some marketing. Trained clients in group setting cardio kickboxing and strength classes. Kickboxing classes include gloves and bags or air boxing. Some days bootcamp or a circuit class was given. Strength classes included equipment like free weights, resistance tubes, thera bands, focus pads, bosu trainers, TRX trainer, ropes, kettlebell. Completed 1st 11 week program called Amp’d. It was a four day a week program with 2 strenght workouts and two lung twisting cardio workouts. Many walked away with significant body changes. This program is very gritty, sweaty and at times grueling.
