Vonda Stringfellow came fully to yoga in the early nineties. Since then she has studied various disciplines, which she incorporates into her classes, workshops and personal sessions. Her learning never stops; she attends courses, seminars, certifications, and reads extensively, to delve into all aspects of yoga, which she brings back for her student’s knowledge and well-being as well as her personal practice. As a yoga teacher, Vonda embraces the opportunity to impart her enthusiasm for and knowledge of the different styles of yoga. She is also certified in prenatal and postpartum yoga. She is delighted to share the calming, cleansing effects that yoga can have in preparing women for the childbirth experience and the recuperation process afterward. She brings to these classes an overall sense of well-being to help mothers and mothers-to-be ease into the yoga experience at a pace that is comfortable for them Currently, she is enrolled in the North Carolina School of Yoga, and plans to achieve her 500-hour registration with the Yoga Alliance by spring 2005. She is also studying to become a doula and massage therapist. Vonda loves to be in service to others. She believes there is much out there that just needs a gentle touch or guiding word/hand. She fully believes in yoga’s ability to help and heal the entire person—from the inside out. She is open and receptive to all abilities and needs, and enjoys working with special populations as well. She brings compassion, love and understanding into each class. When not teaching or practicing, she enjoys cycling, climbing, paddling, hiking, and reading.
