Sarah Stewart

I received my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science with a fitness/wellness track at Texas Tech University. My minor was nutrition, emphasis being sports nutrition. I holds three certifications; NASM -P.E.S., NASM-CPT, and ISSA-CPT. www.nasm.org and is a Licensed Primary Sports Nutritionist.

I have trained individuals from the age of five to ninety, focusing on goals such as rehabilitation, specific strength, functional strength, sports specific strength, weight loss, definition and sculpting, as well as pregnancy. The mission is to take the individual and create a unique change from the ground up, allowing core stabilization and neuromuscular control to be the foundation. From there an individual progresses faster and adapts more fully to the demands of stress on the body.

My contributions are to NSIDE Magazine, Adventure Sports Magazine, Austin Fit Magazine, and The Good Life Magazine. Appearances include Fox News for Workout Wednesday, as well as other local news channels for nutrition and fitness guidance. My latest feature can be viewed on PBS, the fourth season on KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. I also have worked with Arthritis Central in making Arthritis fitness videos. Currently, I am the "athlete" in two different videos. One being RF456 ( www.RF456.com ) and the other is Austin ABS, a video for core performance for fitness and sport.

The focus of training any client revolves around nine important concepts:

Type of muscle contraction
Movement pattern
Range of motion
Velocity of movement
Force of contraction
Biochemical performance
Metabolic specificity
Biomechanical adaptation
Mobility
