I have been in the field of group exercise for twenty-five years. With a strong background in dance, I made the transition into the fitness industry by teaching dance aerobics in the early eighties. Before jumping into fitness with both feet I worked for ten years as an educational audiologist in the Indianapolis Public School system.
Currently, I am in school working on my nursing degree. I previously worked as the Group Fitness Department Head for Life Time Fitness- North Meridian. Prior to taking that position I worked as an instructor trainer/presenter for FiTour and the YMCA of USA as Faculty. I hold numerous certifications in group ex. and Pilates. I had a personal training business for 15 years that focused on achieving homeostasis (balance) and lifestyle changes as well as physical performance. I like to compete in olympic and sprint distance triathlons.
My competitive edge and personal challenges led me into becoming an NFL and Pro-Bowl Cheerleader, Mrs. Indiana 1997, Mrs. Fitness America 1997– Mrs. America Pageant 1997, Mrs. Indiana American U.S. 2000 and a model, appearing in national and local television advertisements.
When I'm not “in the club”, I am a mother of three boys that continually keep my life interesting. I like being the only girl in the house!
