Lora Schneider is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), Certified Personal Trainer (PTS) and has obtained a graduate diploma in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion. She currently has her own business offering one on one nutrition consultations, in-house/in-condo personal training, wellness workshops, ‘cupboard clean-ups,’ and ‘shop with a nutritionist’ services. She works with her clients to make healthy lifestyle, diet and exercise changes that they can maintain in the long run.
Lora’s studies in Wellness and Health promotion involved stress management, nutrition and physical fitness. Here she began an inspirational field placement with “Nu-Vitality,” a nutrition consulting company founded by her mentor, Lisa Tsakos (RNCP). Lora’s work began with the ‘Healthy Eating Program’ at the Toronto Police Service (TPS). She led workshops, carried through with nutrition research for the webpage naturallysavvy.com, wrote articles on various nutrition topics and helped to organize the annual TPS health fair. Using these experiences as a stepping stone, she soon began designing and leading her own wellness presentations to businesses and community groups including: The Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, GoodLife Fitness, and for the United Church of Canada. Lora continues to research nutrition topics for Lisa Tsakos’ website, and to facilitate ‘Healthy Eating Programs.’
