I was born January 14, 1955 and was raised primarily in Long Island, New York, although my family moved to New Jersey and Pennsylvania for some time while my father transferred with different employment positions. I have three (3) brothers, and we were all active in sports both at home and in school. In high school I played on the school baseball and soccer teams and was a cheerleader. I attended college (1973-1977) at State University of New York, Albany, NY, with a B.A. in Sociology, and a Minor in English. I worked for Montgomery Ward (1975–1986) in various credit management positions. I was promoted several times so I lived in a number of different locations which included Albany, New York to Chicago, Illinois to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and back to Albany, New York. I married my husband Tom on April 28, 1984. Montgomery Ward closed its credit departments and I became employed by Cluett Peabody, Troy, New York (1986–1987) as a Collections Manager. Our first child was born on September 8, 1987 (a girl which we named Alyssa). In 1987 the Cluett Peabody Collection Department closed. I stayed home and helped my husband with his wholesale car sale business and soon became active in our local YMCA taking many different aerobic and weight lifting classes. On November 09, 1990 our son Ryan was born. From 1992-1996 I was the PTA President for the elementary school that our children attended. I continued to help my husband with his car business and take care of our children and exercising. In 1998 until present I began working for the New York State Senate as a Technical Writer. In 2005 I began to work at the YMCA at the Fitness Center directing new members about how to use the different weight and aerobic machines. That year the YMCA instituted Indoor Cycling classes. I trained with the FITOUR representative and began teaching a minimum of three (3) classes per week. I continue to teach these Cycling classes and thoroughly enjoy teaching/guiding all ages and levels of expertise.
