I have been participating in several types of athletic activities since I was four years old including the following: soccer (through college, volleyball (through college), basketball, tennis, swimming, golf, and training and competing in marathons, half-marathons, and short-distance races.
Throughout my career at Lawrence University, where I majored in Biology and was pre-med, I worked as the student athletic trainer for the men's basketball team. Post-commencement, I was the Fitness Director and personal trainer at two gyms, both Anytime Fitness and O2 Fitness, where I trained and ran a team of 4 and 14, respectively, personal trainers. Though my time in the gym environment was rewarding, I knew that there were many potential clients that were too "afraid" of the gym setting, so I sought to seek them out and started my own personal training business. This goal was not only met, but exceeded all my expectations and I am proud to share my portfolio of individuals whose lives I've changed to anyone who asks. Once I moved back to Wisconsin, I decided that I absolutely needed to continue my passion for health, which is why I started Lake Geneva Personal Training.
Currently, I specialize in weight management and nutrition as well as rehabilitation and sports-specific training. I have also taught Boot Camp and several other weight and cardio-focused classes. I will be attending the Titelist Golf Fitness Training certification in August of 2010 as well as Group Instructor certification, with a Zumba certification to follow.
