I am married and have 3 children. I have always led a very fit and active lifestyle. I have been in the fitness industry in many many years and I have been teaching fitness full-time for the past 10 years. I have also participated in many fundraising events in the fitness industry. I have run many Zumbathon Fundraiser fitness event in Winnipeg since May, 2009. We have raised over $10,00.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Breast Cancer and had several hundreds of people in attendance.  I have always had immense amounts of energy and have participated on many activities fundraising events. It's very important for me to give back to the community. With all my energy i decided to pursue fitness as a career over 10 years ago and I have 5 specialty certifications: Zumba Dance Fitness, Yoga, Spinning and Group Power and Barre Fitness. Through all of these certifications, i have had the pleasure of meeting incredible people throughout all the various gyms that she has taught at.  Teaching Zumba and Yoga has given me the most rewarding feeling as an instructor and i have had many success stories through my participants. Many have lost major amounts of weight, sculpted and toned their bodies and feel so great about themselves. I have participants tell me that Zumba has helped bring them out of a depression. It's an inspiring mind and body workout. The Latin and salsa rhythms and movements make people feel like they are at a party not a workout. It's been like exercise in disguise for many of them. My zumba classes have brought participants to lead a healthier way of living. Especially those who never enjoyed fitness classes before have now become inspired to participating in more and more classes and feeling confident and great about themselves. The response has been phenomenal. Not only do they love it for their bodies but they have told her how good it has been for their mind and self esteem. The look forward to it all day and leave the class feeling high and elated and inspired.  I look so forward to doing this and being able to lift people's spirits with the music and movements while sitting in a chair. I teach Yoga and Cycle Yoga classes, and created my own style of Yoga classes which is called Vibrant Flow Yoga. The sequence of poses rejuvenates and restores and opens up the body, lengthen the limbs and relaxes the mind. I always present modifications so that each person can work at their own pace. Music is always played throughout the class as the rhythm and melody heals the soul and enriches their hearts. The results have been pure harmony. I have had huge success creating a cycle yoga class as well at the private gyms I teach at. You get the best of both worlds. Cycling is also very much of a mind body workout as you cycle to exciting motivating music and let your mind go as you concentrate on the ride. Followed by a Vibrant Flow Yoga portion to stretch out the body and still the mind. I teach classes for special needs programs. I have had an incredibly rewarding experience teaching fitness classes to Special Needs children in the community. The Rady centre has a fitness program for Special needs youth in the City of Winnipeg. I lead spinning cycle classes for them as well as Yoga and most recently Zumba. I feels there is nothing more motivating than seeing how these kids respond to music and movement. “It's truly my most exciting experience ever. I love the opportunity to be able to do it for them. I also teach at 5 different Retirement centre to the residents in chairs. I teach Zumba and seated and moving to the music is just as inspirational and motivating to them as well.  I hope to continue in my life inspiring others to feel great about themselves by keeping a fit and healthy lifestyle. Motivating others is what drives me as a person. I hope to always be able to do that for others as I continue with what life has ahead of me.
