Julie Cook - Health, Fitness and Yoga Expert: Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. Julie is a graduate of the Power Yoga Teacher Training program at Core Power Yoga in St. Paul, MN. Julie has spent her entire career working in fields relating to her passion for health and fitness, in services that make a positive impact on people's lives. Julie has always enjoyed participating in fitness and athletic activities such as, downhill ski racing, volleyball, spinning, swimming, and running and triathlon events.  Her career started in teaching health education, physical education and coaching. Then she taught various fitness and aquatics classes for the YMCA. She joined Life Time Fitness in 1995, creating the Member Activities division and related programming. Next she created Bear Paddle Swim School and Clubhouse. After that she opened her own yoga studio in 2010. Julie's first exposure to yoga was in 1996 when she implemented a yoga program for the members at Life Time Fitness. Yoga is an integral part of her mental, physical and spiritual practice. Besides the obvious benefits of strength, energy and flexibility, it has helped her to live present in the moment, to feel connected to the Divine in her and those around her. Yoga helps her to see the oneness in all things. Yoga has brought Julie many gifts and she feels blessed and honored to share the joy of yoga with others. Julie is currently the Vice President of Member and Program Services for the YMCA .
