I attended college on a basketball scholarship. After graduating with a degree in English Literature, I attended and graduated from law school. However, I realized before graduation that practicing law was not the right career choice for me. At that time, I was religiously attending a bootcamp at my local gym, the Jewish Community Center. The instructor and I bonded over our common knowledge and passion for fitness. She encouraged me to investigate a career as a personal trainer and offered to serve as a mentor. After shadowing her and team teaching for approximately 6 months, I registered for and passed my personal training certification through the Aerboics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). I was immediately offered a position at the very same gym where I used to take my mentor's classes! Since that time, I have trained over 30 differently clients with an array of fitness levels and goals. I have also received Primary Group Exercise instructor certification through AFAA and teach 5 hours of group exercise classes/week.
