Dance diva, consummate performer and highly skilled instructor, Fransini Giraldo brings a world of dance influences and inspired passion to her art. A highly sought-after dance personality, she has delighted audiences and inspired students in studios, stages and clubs in places as far flung as the Caribbean, South America and Los Angeles, where she now lives and works.
A native of Colombia who moved to the U.S. 15 years ago looking to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional dancer, choreographer and instructor, Fransini is now living that aspiration to the fullest. She now works with multiple dance companies, shows and studios in addition to doing TV segments and special exhibitions for organizations like the California Milk Advisory Board promoting a healthier lifestyle through dance, exercise and better diet.
Born into the Salsa rhythm in South America, once in Los Angeles, Fransini had the opportunity to combine the local “L.A Style” with her mastery of “salsa arrebata” – a style known for its high-speed footwork which is famous in her native Cali, Colombia. Later, searching for a new challenge, Fransini discovered Samba six years ago and it was “Love at First Shake.” Since then she has focused her energies on studying, breaking down and integrating Samba into her fitness routines and choreographies. The popularity of her classes and shows are the only proof necessary that the result has been an absolute success.
Fransini has had the opportunity to work in multiple national and international events. Just a few include:
·Live, Drink and Dance Your Way To Health campaign with Got Milk? as spokesperson and fitness and dance instructor at different Health Fairs throughout the state of California.
·Vive tu Vida event by the San Ysidro Health Center in San Diego, California. Promoting prevention through physical activity.
·Shows at different Brazilian Carnivals in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Long Beach, Santa Barbara, Houston and El Paso, Texas.
·Ritmo Latino Music Awards, choreographer and dancer.
·Viver Brazil at the Hollywood Bowl.
·Brazilian Summer Festival at the Ford Amphitheatre.
·Zumba Fitness, infomercial and commercials.
·Fiesta Latina, workout DVD, Flamenco dancer.
Possessing an extensive health background that she incorporates into her passion for dance, Fransini is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies covering 3 areas: Kinesiology, Health Sciences and Translation at California State University in Long Beach. Her goal is to continue her studies in Medicine at UC Irvine once she graduates from CSULB and specialize in Preventive Medicine with emphasis in the Hispanic and minority communities. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through AFAA.
