Hi, I'm Lizzy, a 23 year-old certified group ex instructor and personal trainer. I love everything fitness related, and I love teaching group ex! Here's my quick bio:
In 2005, Angie Green led a weekly class that taught me how to become a skilled aerobics instructor. I learned hearing the 32-count phrase, cueing, mirror-ing, and layering choreography. I began teaching abs, Boot Camp, and Turbo Kick at the University of Toledo in January 2006. With experience and increasing certifications, I taught classes at Bally Total Fitness, JCC/YMCA, Ahava Spa and Wellness Center, Lifestyles for Ladies Only, and Urban Active Fitness (in Sylvania, OH while completing my B.S. Exercise Science degree) until July 2008. I also worked as a personal trainer at Lifestyles and Urban Active from 2007-2008.
I moved to Cincinnati in July 2008 to get my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Cincinnati. I currently teach group exercise at the UC Rec and the Urban Active(s) here in Cinci while attending grad school. I teach every day, with Turbo Kick (cardio/dancy kickboxing) and Sportszone (cardio/strength interval training) being my current favorites. I can pretty much teaching anything except for Yoga, Pilates, Spin, and Step (not certified).
I plan to continue teaching group exercise throughout my entire life, even while working as a PT. I will keep my personal trainer cert current and will train when I have some more time! But I am ready and willing to teach/train clients on a vacation!
Angie Green (my first boss that I wrote about), told me about a similar all-inclusive working vacation-- that's how I found this website. I hope you will consider me, I feel that I have the ambition, personality, and credentials to be a great asset to your program! I believe my B.S. in Exercise Science as well as my Physical Therapy knowledge can also enhance the program. Thank you for your time!
