I emphasize centering, proper breathing, respecting your body, and correct position alignment. I like students to know that their purpose is not just to mimic the position that they see; instead, they must ensure that they are in the moment, properly aligned in the position, and paying attention to what their body feels like in the particular position.
Yoga is a gift from God. It provides total mind, body, & soul prosperity. It is a mental exercise with physical benefits. I like for my students to relax and connect with themselves during our Yoga sessions. You can learn a lot about yourself doing Yoga...I encourage all of my students listen to their bodies and to appreciate where they are at the moment....enjoy the journey to their goals. I also like for my students to know the benefits of each pose and what muscles they should feel stretching & working in each pose.
