Sarah was introduced to yoga in 1998 in Ottawa, Canada. After ten years of practicing asana and pranayama techniques, she decided to further her experience by venturing to Rishikesh, India; considered to be the birthplace of yoga.

In the Anand Prakash ashram, at the foothills of the Himalayas, Sarah completed both the 200 and 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training programs. These programs took her on an explorative path of philosophy, meditation, anatomy, mantra and kiirtan. This was integrated with hands on practical training demonstrating how to safely teach various postures and breathing techniques.

Yoga is a lifestyle and path to self-discovery, which Sarah fully embraced during her time in India. In November 2008 she was certified by the World Conscious Yoga Family, a Yoga Alliance registered school, in the
Akhanda style of yoga. Akhanda means indivisible, unbroken tradition, entire, and whole, and is the name chosen to identify the teachings and holistic approach to class styles of the World Conscious Yoga Organization.

Sarah, now a registered yoga teacher, is qualified to teach yoga to students at all levels, including pre-natal and classical kundalini yoga.
