Tanaya Larsen

I believe that yoga creates self acceptance and is for every body regardless of flexibility, experience, age, or injury. My love for yoga developed once seeing the progress it made on my stiff body and the complimentary nature it brought to my running routine and life. I completed my Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification in Boulder, Colorado in 2010, where I taught for five years before moving to Nashville and then Rome, Georgia in 2016. My classes combine prana (breath) with creative transitions creating opportunities to open both body and mind.

In addition to yoga, I’ve worked in many areas in the health  and wellness realm. With a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, I’ve worked across the country as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Health and Fitness Specialist, Health Coach, Yoga Instructor and more. I love working with all ages and using evidence-based health coaching techniques to inspire change for the better.

After having three children and working with various health education programs for kids, I’ve developed a passion for getting the whole family moving. I am trained in kids physical education through both SPARK and CATCH programs, and have my Cosmic Kids Yoga Certification. In addition to yoga, I love running, reading, baking, hiking, and having adventures with my husband and crazy kids!
