My journey into the fitness industry was strongly influenced by my dance background. Growing up in a caribbean household, I was always surrounded by music. I started dancing at 8 years old and later began to choreograph. I began teaching dance classes in 2002 and my background encompasses various dance forms such as Haitian Zouk and Compa, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Stepping. I soon transitioned into personal training and teaching group exercise classes such as total body conditioning/body sculpting, cardio kickboxing, 30 minute abs, bootcamp and Silver Sneakers for seniors. I enjoy watching others progress while helping them reach their fitness goals. For me, fitness is not a trend or a "fad", but a lifestyle - one that ensures good health while reaching an optimal level of fitness. I use my knowledge as a fitness/health and wellness professional to create a fun filled class for all and I teach at various health clubs in the NYC area. I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from New York University and a Master’s Degree in Health Science and Exercise Physiology from Long Island University.
