I am originally from the boston area, but I have lived in NYC for the past 11 years. I have a BA in dance performance and psychology from Roger Williams University and a MA from NYU in dance education. My dance background is primarily modern and jazz. I have been teaching dance for NYC schools for 8 years. I have been teaching yoga and pilates for about 4-6 years at New York Sports Clubs. The classes are all open level so I have to be prepared to teach all ranges of abilities. I have been told that my teaching style is very clear and I'm very good at giving variations and modifications for poses. Teaching yoga is very rewarding. I love to see students try new poses, challenging poses, they haven't done and see the looks on their faces when they can do something they never thought they could. Also, giving students the opportunity to give back to themselves is an incredible experience.
