Virginia Lung

For the past 11 years, I’ve studied yoga of various levels of intensity and lineage. It started from a place of curiosity, which then blossomed into a service I share with the community. My first love affair with yoga ignited with Vinyasa. I loved how my body felt during and after practice. I enjoyed the various challenges it posed for me each time I visited my mat, which whet my palette for more. In every challenge there’s an opportunity to learn something and grow. Yoga became my means of transformation. Vinyasa appealed to me for its various interpretations. I extensively trained under the Baptiste-style Power Vinyasa. It was by far one of the most challenging, yet grounding styles of yoga I have ever experienced. It helped define me as a more athletic practitioner. Shiva’s Prana Flow helped shape my practice into a more fluid and connective yogic art. I found Bikram yoga to be very healing and feel any body (with or without injuries, at any age can do this practice. Ashtanga is challenging and fun with infinite personal growth potential on and off the mat. Finally, AcroYoga helped me explore the play and acrobatic side to yoga as well as connecting with another soul(s) in a practice. I share with my students how they can use yoga as a way to tap into their inner truth, strength and beauty. They discover they are stronger than they thought they were. They tap into a potential they never knew existed. I take my students deeper into an exploration of the very essence of their being, and break through any barriers that may stand in their way.
