Lead Engaging Survival Skills Workshops for Hotel Guests

Our partner Club Med Charlevoix is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Survival Skills Instructors to deliver engaging and informative workshops to their guests. We're committed to providing unique and memorable experiences, and we believe offering introductory survival skills training will be a valuable and exciting addition to our activity offerings.

About the Opportunity:

Lead a series of approximately two-hour workshops throughout the week, catering to small groups of interested hotel guests. These workshops should provide a foundational understanding of essential survival skills in a safe and accessible environment, likely utilizing the hotel grounds and potentially nearby natural areas.  Coach with hands on experience leading survival workshops or training programs, training may be Military, law enforcement, or outdoor leadership background or extensive field experience in outdoor environment.  

Potential Workshop Topics:

We are open to a variety of topics that would appeal to a broad range of guests, potentially including:

• Basic Shelter Building: Utilizing natural and readily available materials.
• Fire Starting: Safe and effective methods without modern tools.
• Water Procurement and Purification: Identifying safe water sources and basic purification techniques.
• Basic Navigation: Using natural cues and potentially a compass.
• Knot Tying: Essential knots for various survival situations.
• First Aid in Wilderness Settings: Addressing common injuries and emergencies.
• Leave No Trace Principles: Emphasizing responsible interaction with the environment.

What We're Looking For in an Instructor:

• Proven experience teaching survival skills to diverse groups.
• Strong knowledge of relevant survival techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and experience levels.
• A passion for sharing survival knowledge and promoting responsible outdoor practices.
• Reliability and professionalism.
