Dynamic Fitness Professional with a Passion for Travel and Beachside Workouts
From an early age, I was captivated by the world of movement. My journey began at age five with ballet, dance, and gymnastics, which seamlessly transitioned into cheerleading and baton twirling throughout my school years. College further fueled my passion, where I embraced Baton Twirling and discovered Aerobic Dance in the mid-80s, igniting my commitment to a structured fitness regimen.
Graduating in 1988, I dove into the corporate world but soon realized my true calling was in the fitness industry. I pursued additional undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Memphis and moved to Dallas, TX, where I became a Certified Personal Trainer through ACSM at the renowned Cooper Aerobic Institute.
Currently, I focus on personal training, small-group fitness, and virtual coaching. I offer Zoom fitness classes and private training sessions, helping clients improve strength, balance, and mobility through functional workouts.
I also specialize in AQUA Fitness and Yoga training, teaching at The Lyla Apartment Complex and private pools, as well as offering sessions on Zoom and to personal clients. With my Yoga certification, I incorporate flexibility, balance, and mindfulness into my programming to create a well-rounded approach to fitness.
In 2009, I founded University Park Fitness for Ladies, originally an in-person program and now exclusively offered via Zoom, providing small-group training that emphasizes functional movement, core stability, and flexibility; including both yoga and mobility training.
For the past 12 years, I’ve been an educator and presenter for WITS (World Instructor Training Schools), teaching at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and Collin College, as well as other institutions, helping fitness enthusiasts become certified Personal Trainers.
With years of experience as an Independent Contractor and Group Fitness Instructor, I have taught aqua fitness, functional training, and land-based strength and conditioning. I have spent over nine years leading large-group aqua fitness at Life Time Fitness.
In addition to my fitness expertise, I offer nutrition and weight loss programs with virtual coaching. My goal is to inspire and educate, helping others pursue their passion for fitness while embracing a holistic approach to health and wellness.
