I grew up in San Diego, California, where I was raised practicing Kundalini yoga, and where I also enjoyed biking, hiking, camping, boogie boarding and swimming.
When I was twenty, I discovered strength training, which has been a principal part of my fitness program since. I incorporate core, balance, and stabilization training into my own work outs. I also walk, run, rollerblade, hike and take every opportunity to bicycle within and around Seattle!
I find that elements of mind-body training also end up in my programs, based on my studies of Tai Chi, Muy Thai kickboxing and yoga, and I continually experience the power of incorporating techniques such as affirmations, visualization, journaling, and meditation in my fitness training and in my life.
