Abeni El-Amin

Ms. Abeni El-Amin has been in the fitness industry for over 16 years. Abeni has certifications by AFAA as a Group Fitness, Kickboxing, and Pilates Instructor, LA Fitness - Advanced Group Instructor, Aqua, Body Works, Cardio Kick Boxing, Club Boxing, Step Tech 1, Keiser Indoor Cycling, International Fitness Trainers of America (IFTA) – Personal Training 2004, American Council on Health and Fitness (ACHAF) Personal Training, Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified, and is a Nature’s Sunshine Herbal Specialist. Abeni’s specialty classes include: Basic Step, Intermediate Step, Body Sculpting, Aqua Aerobics, AB Buster, Cycling, Yoga Stretch, Cardio-Kickboxing, Bootcamp, or any combination thereof. Abeni’s hobbies are weight training, tennis, hiking, and bowling. Also, Abeni is currently ABD in the Department of Political Science at Clark Atlanta University (CAU). Professor El-Amin is currently a professor of political science at St. Augustine’s College. Abeni has received an Associates degree from the Whitney M. Young Honors Program in Liberal Studies from Kentucky State University (KSU). She also holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Economics (KSU). She obtained her Masters degrees from (KSU) in Public Administration – Human Resource Management and Management Information Systems. In the future she hopes to bridge the gap in public policy whereas policy makers legislatively propose fitness into existing health policy so that fitness and health become preventive medicine. Within this paradigm funding passed through federal, state, and local governments would allow for education and community-based programs to be developed so that American people regardless of income can realize a more healthy state of wellness.
