Eugenia was encouraged to try Pilates in 1999 by her chiropractor. Teaching aerobics in the
1980’s left her with back and hip injuries. She was convinced after her first lesson that
Pilates was for her. She fell in love with Pilates and wanted to help others become pain free
and feel amazing. Eugenia began Pilates mat training with Jennifer Kries in NYC and
continued on with Physical Mind Institute. She earned her Pilates Comprehensive Training
from Body Precision in Bryn Mawr Pa; with over 700 hours of training in 2005. Eugenia is a
Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). She has taken courses for osteoporosis, golf, barre pilates and rehab related courses. As a Classical Pilates Instructor Eugenia has worked with varied health conditions and injuries including back and neck pain, knee and hip replacement, breast cancer and stroke. She completed The Pilates Center Bridge Advanced Teacher Training Program with over 500 hours of Instruction and Internship
in July 31,2020 from The Pilates Center in Boulder Colorado.
Eugenia grew up in Webster, NY and received a BA in Philosophy from Nazareth College of
Rochester after graduating from RL Thomas High School. She worked at both Citibank and
Frontier from 1981-2005. She taught Pilates until 2005 at Pilates Plus. She moved to the
Caribbean to pursue her dream of teaching Pilates on an Island. She taught for 6 years at a
studio at La Samanna Hotel in St. Martin. Eugenia returned to Rochester in 2011 and
returned to teaching at Pilates Plus, Anju, Crescent Trail Pilates, Wheeler
Healthy U and most recently Joga SXM in St Maarten.

Teaching Pilates is my way of giving back. Pilates has enriched my life in such amazing
ways and I want others to experience all that Pilates has to offer.
