Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical education (K-12) and coaching (Track & Field and Wrestling) from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Sports Science with an emphasis in Fitness Management from the United States Sports Academy.
He's worked in the fitness industry since 1988 as a personal trainer, Fitness Director, and is now teaching the Physical Fitness Technology program (Exercise Science, Theory of Exercise, Fitness Testing, Advanced Weight Training & Conditioning, etc..) at Houston's local college. This is a program that offers a degree for those desiring a professional career in corporate fitness or as a personal trainer. As a member you'll gain the same exposure to Tim's knowledge and experience as the students in the college program. Not only do members have access to the latest cutting edge programs, but will become educated in the process.
He is currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for two-time world boxing champion Reggie Johnson. He is former chief Physical Training Instructor for the HCC Law Enforcement Academy. He's also an instructor for the American Red Cross in First Aid, CPR and AED.
Tim Mousel has been training in the martial arts since 1980. He holds instructor certification under Bruce Lee protégé Guro Dan Inosanto to teach Filipino Martial Art as well as Jun Fan Gung-Fu. In addition to Thai-Boxing Instructor Certification from Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Tim holds a Level 2 instructorship from the prestigious Minnesota Kali Group, Full Instructorship from the Dubuque Martial Arts Group and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He serves as Houston Branch Director for the Thai Boxing Association of the USA and the Houston Representative (former) for Larry Hartsell's Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association. Additionally, he received a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Rickson Gracie. He has been honored as having an Associated school with Leonardo Xavier's Academy from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Tim has also completed the requirements for Coach Level 2 in Erik Paulson's Combat Submission Wrestling.
