I've been a yoga practitioner for more than 15 years.
Funny thing is, I said I’d “never be a yoga teacher,” almost every studio I’d ever practiced at had encouraged me to explore it, consider it, take a yoga teacher training and at least try it... I made excuses, resisted and flat out said no!
Ah, but alas, when there is a persistent knock on the door of you heart you can only ignore it for so long.
Otherwise it’s like welcoming the unnecessary suffering of your soul and cutting your heart off from the very life blood it needs to thrive!
Within 2 years of answering the call, I have 3 Certifications (see attached) over 1000 hours of teaching experience in the USA (as well as Hawaii, Israel, South Africa and Kenya)
I've had the pleasure of guiding countless students in yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices, it's been a thrill to see their lives touched, and my soul transformed in the process!
I teach yoga for "everybody and every body," it is such a JOY to share the gift of yoga everyday. Teaching others how to breathe easy and move freely on and off the yoga mat is my passion.
My yoga philosophy is striking a "perfect pose" is not the goal of yoga, rather it is about cultivating a personal practice that deepens your mental clarity and body awareness through intentional breathing, mindful movement and conscious being so that you are more present and peaceful in the body, circumstance and place you are in at any given moment.
My students hear me say often, "if we start where we are and work with what we have then we will find more ease and enjoyment along the way."
I invite you to watch my "Yoga As Therapy" appearance on CBS, The Doctors which aired 3/20/17:
