I am a lover of all things OUTSIDE and EXERCISE! I am a wife and a mom to two life-loving, energetic, WILD BOYS! I am also an elementary PE teacher who is trying hard to teach children to learn to LOVE to MOVE!
I obtained my first aerobics certification when I was 18 years old and have taught group fitness classes since then. I have have done personal training and taught everything from bootcamp, spin, yoga, Silver Sneakers (senior adults), water aerobics, kickboxing, to most recently HIIT classes.
I have an undergrad degree in Exercise and Sports Science. I have a Masters degree in Education with a concentration in Kinesiology and Recreation. I have managed a Fitness Center at a large church in Augusta, Georgia, and taught exercise and health classes at Augusta University for 10 years prior to having my boys.
Last February, my husband and I took a trip to Jamaica. While we were there, we did sunrise and sunset yoga. After our first class, the instructor and I were talking and she told me about your organization. I would LOVE to join forces with you to travel AND teach.
Yoga - I teach mostly Hatha or Vinyasa.
Most of my classes have been beginner classes so it is very slow with hopes of encouraging my class to de-stress, relax, and STRETCH!
I have taught lots of yoga to athletes and that can change drastically depending on the sport. Coaches may want me to do more exercises/poses for hip flexion or upper body strength.
