I began my fitness Journey with a love for gymnastics as a child.  I joined the cheerleading team in high school and was studying accounting.  I worked at the Government Center as an administrative assistant during the summer and realized that I was not meant to sit in a freezing office all day.  I got Married at age 19 and moved to Manassas for his work.  We lived in Bulgaria for a summer and then Made Newport News our home.  After child 2,  I decided to join the Y and soon fell  in love with Pilates.  The instructor said I was a natural and lead me to a PiYo certification close by.  I loved that even more!  I soon after did a Pilates certification and took over my instructors classes when she moved overseas.  From there I did the TurboKick certification while I was in my first trimester of my last pregnancy (morning sickness and all) and later added Hip Hop Hustle as well.  Loved them all and so did the members.  Eventually I wanted more Yoga Knowledge for my PiYo classes so I took two YogaSteps certifications each lasting three days.  Later, I saw a special on the AFAA Personal Trainer certification and jumped on the deal.  I loved all the extra knowledge and realized that anyone that teaches anything fitness should have this certification.     Our facility decided to take on LesMills so I did the BodyCombat training and it blew me away!  LOVED IT! So I took the BodyPump and CXWorX Training as well.
Later, I decided to work for American Family Fitness when they opened as it was closer to home and they switched over from LesMills to Mossa.  I had to switch all of my LesMills certifications over to Mossa which are Fight, Core, and Power.  Group Power is my favorite now out of the three.  Last year I decided to try out Barre and was very humbled!  It’s really hard! So, I knew I needed it in my life and took the training for that and currently teach it at American Family Fitness.  I am a Fusion Coach and also teach Tabata, Core, Power, and Sub Yoga when needed.  I teach Muscle Conditioning here and there as well.
In 2019 I was sought out by a Health and Wellness facility, Pamisage, to work as Movement Specialist.  There we help people that are morbidly obese, heart attack and stroke survivors, diabetics, and other health conditions.  We teach them to eat for fuel and get them moving safely.
I have a home gym where I train clients in just about every style:). I have an amazing Husband who is an amazing Father to our 4 children.  My Zachary, was diagnosed with high functioning autism and we are learning so much from him.  I have an amazing life, an amazing family, and a Profession that allows me to touch the lives of so many:)
