Letizia E. Colon was 17 year old when she weighed close to 200 pounds and could not walk more than 3 city blocks without catching her breath. Ms. Colon was determined that the weight was not going to stay in her upcoming college life which was a few months away. Her resolution to be fit and trim resulted in her losing 70 lbs by September. Ms. Colonâ€™s newfound passion for fitness continued throughout the years. She received a Bachelorâ€™s of Arts from Barnard College of Columbia University in Psychology and then went to obtain a Masterâ€™s in Public Health from Columbia Univeristy in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and was honored as a Community Health Scholar fellowship. Relentless with her health and fitness pursuit, Ms. Colon has received various fitness related certifications in personal training, functional training, group fitness, total body shaping, pre and post natal fitness, boxing, and Johnny G spinning. Ms. Colon has competed in several National Physique Committee (NPC) figure competitions in 2002 and 2003 where she placed within the top ten. Ms. Colon recently placed 3rd in women bodybuilding open class at MuscleMania in August 2004. In May 2005, Ms. Colon received her pro card in the WNSO/FAME Natural Bodybuilding.
