I have been very active throughout my life, beginning with gymnastics and karate when I was young. As an adult I have been very active in CrossFit, coaching for a period of time, and competing in Olympic weightlifting. I turned to yoga as a way to care for my body and mind better. I have practiced yoga for several years now and became certified last year. I decided to become a yoga teacher to deepen my own practice at first, but then realized how great it was to share that knowledge with others. My full time job is as a medical provider, which makes me have a special interest in mind/body connection and yoga's physical effects on the body. My favorite style of yoga is aerial, but I love a good floor practice as well!
